Is It Christmas Yet? Can I Open The Presents Now?...

My answer to all the Christmas related questions is as easy as 1-2-3:

1. Cut

2. Glue

3. Attach

Tadaa!

Now the only question I get is, "Can I take another one off now?"
Oh well, I guess we are just at the age of questions, at least until he has a concept of time! :)

Unique Discipline

Note the mattress on the floor to the left and comfy plywood he's napping on.
Cayden keeps jumping on his bed and a few weeks ago he fell and bit his lip pretty bad. I've told him before that if he jumps on his bed I'll take his mattress away. Well, my mom was here when I did that and he cried and cried and she (being the softy grandma that she is-and note she was not that soft as a mom! :) ) convinced me he wouldn't do it again and he should have his bed back. Well, he jumped again and my mom wasn't here to save him (although he did say, "mommy, call grandma Pam" I knew why he wanted to and said, "no" which resulted in even more tears) so I took away his mattress for nap time. At first I thought he was never going to go to sleep b/c it was too uncomfortable, but he did fall asleep. I hope he learns his lesson b/c I sure feel bad for him!! (I just get tired of spanking for the same reason over and over. I thought maybe this would "hit home" a little better for him. )

Lyndi's Ramblings

So during my Beth Moore Bible Study she said something that really made me think. She said that Satan can't read our thoughts, only our actions. That made me wonder how that's possible because doesn't all sin start from a thought? Anyway... I'm worried about saying things out loud b/c when I posted about Karis' fussiness, I said, "but at least she sleeps great at night" and then that night she didn't sleep great. So I want to say something about her fussiness, but I'm afraid if I do I will Jinx it, so you'll just have to figure out what I would say if I wasn't afraid of saying it:)

Christmas Here We Come

Cayden was so excited to decorate the tree for Christmas. Here are a few shots. Towards the end he was getting ready for bed and didn't get his pj's on before I found the angel, so he put the angel on pantless. I seem to recall some friends of ours decorating their tree in swimsuits or something, but I looked and looked and couldn't find those pics. :)

Memory Verses

Cayden started AWANA Cubbies a few weeks ago and he's been doing so great! At first he was sad when we left, one night he said, "my heart was sad for a little bit." Then after about the 3rd week he said, "my heart was happy the whole time!" It was so hard to leave him when he was sad, but he always did well and I knew he needed to be able to do something without me. He memorizes verses so well. He retains the info too. We've written the verses on paper and taped them to our kitchen wall so that I can remember what they are to make sure he's doing it right-and he does! :) This video was after the 2nd week. Cubbies don't require the kids to memorize the reference, but I wanted Cayden to know where the verses are in the Bible so he's been memorizing them too.

I realized that the last verse was too short for him, once I told him to memorize the whole verse, he got it right away! Weird huh? So now, instead of "All have sinned" he says, "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."

Happy Thanksgiving 2010

The shirt says it all!

Aren't they cute?!

Flash back 3 years and see the first time this outfit was worn:

Gymnastics

For $5 Cayden can go for 2 1/2 hours and play at our local gymnastics building. He loves it!

After he worked up an appetite, we went to eat and his first slurp of spaghetti created this face:)
