Fun with Aunt Abby

(I'm very curious as to why he looks so excited)

Cayden had a lot of fun shopping and swimming with his aunt Abby and her fiance Gary and Abby's sister Monique and her husband Alex. I had to sub today (total bummer that I am a stay-at-home mom and yet when my best friend comes to town, I have to work!) so Abby said she'd take Cayden for the morning/afternoon. They went shopping at Target, swam at the Hampton, went to McDonalds and he actually took a nap. I was surprised that with all that fun and no playpen to be corralled in that he would sleep, but he did. (Good job Gary!)

Sooo Tired

Cayden was over at Levi's house yesterday while I subbed at the high school. He didn't take his nap (having to much fun and I forgot to let Sarah know where his Nuk was-oops:) ) which I was ok with, b/c I was ready for a nap myself. I tried to keep him awake on the way home, it was NOT easy and I ended up failing at the task. He was so tired! I can't pick which video is my favorite so I'm posting all 4 :).

I held the camera up behind me and hoped I was getting his expressions, I used the rear view mirror as a guide. I just think they are so funny! :)

I love how he goes from laughing to sleeping in 0 seconds flat:)

You can just faintly hear him say the dolphin sound and then he's out again:)

He keeps repeating his name-in his sleep!

Can you hear him say 5 at the end? He's so good at counting now he can do it in his sleep:)

Similarities?

Egg Hunt

I really enjoyed Egg hunts as a kid and want my kids to have that fun too, but I don't like how every Christian holiday gets overshadowed by secular activities. I want my kids to know the real meaning of Christmas and Easter. As a compromise, Brandon and I decided that we will do an egg hunt on Saturday for the kids so they aren't wanting to rush out of church and find eggs. They can have all that fun the day before and then on Sunday they can be focused on the resurrection of Jesus.

The local radio station had an egg hunt down at the waterfront yesterday and Cayden had so much fun! He kept saying, "more eggs, more eggs." They would let each age group go in and get 5 eggs, 1 of each color and then they had to get out of the area and let the next age group go in. After Cayden was out of the area he kept looking for more eggs (he didn't realize it was only in the one area) so we just threw the same eggs back on the ground and he had fun finding them again-this age group can be so fun:)

He was pleasently surprised to find they had "num nums" in them. :)

(The video is kind of boring, but I thought Grandma and Grandpa might want to watch it)

ELMOCIZE!

We went to the library the other day and Cayden got two Elmo videos. ( I know its not a book, but he has soo many books and he loves Elmo videos)

After all that exercise, Cayden had to rest :)

Going to Florida!!

I can't believe I haven't posted this sooner, but I am going to Florida in one week, with my friend Kristin. No husbands, No kids, No responsibilities! I can't wait. Our friend Sarah will join us for the weekend and we will lay in the sun, tan, read and CVS! (Brandon will actually be in another part of Florida that week for work)

Cayden helped me pack:

He packed all by himself and even got it to close:) I may have to rearrange a little though.
My aunt Vickie is coming up with a 2 year old she is watching and so my mom is taking off work while she is here. They decided it would be fun to have Cayden stay and play with Noah (Vickie's little one) and since Vickie had the responsibility of a 2 year old, my mom might as well too. I feel a little guilty not taking Cayden since the whole reason I was looking at tickets was so Cayden could visit his "Florida family" again before I had to pay for him, but this opportunity was too good to pass up!
My wonderful Grandma-in-law is letting us stay at her house since she's headed up here and my wonderful mother-in-law said we could eat her food (don't worry, Peggy, we won't eat it all :) ). Plus, she lives on a canal so we can go kayaking and watch the dolphins come up to eat at sunset. It doesn't get much better than that!
I haven't been this excited about a trip in a long time, I'm actually having trouble going to sleep at night! :) Wohoo! Can't wait!

Happy Easter!
