So I have no idea how long this will last, but Cayden told me at lunch that he had to go potty, so we went into the bathroom and he pooped. Then while we were laying down awhile later he told me he had to go potty again, so we went in and he went pee. So I thought I'd try his Cars undies and he told me when he had to go potty and was dry the whole time until I put him to bed. I was pretty impressed.
He loves to be "Naked Boy" and run around the house naked. While he was sick, I'd let him sit in a towel for awhile, b/c I figured his poor butt was probably sore and I was thinking this would be a good way to potty train, I guess he had the same idea:)
The only problem now is that I want to go garage saleing tomorrow and I can't just have him go wherever, but if I put a diaper on him I'm afraid he wont get the idea that he's not supposed to do that anymore. How do I transition and PLEASE don't say stay home until he's trained, b/c this week of sickness was soooo long as it is!

Well, you could always carry an ice cream pail in the car with you. And always keep an extra set of clothes in the car as well. :-)
I worried about that at first too, with Madison. But I guess we just told her to try hold it until we could get somewhere she could go. If you're out garage sale-ing, and he has to go, just ask the person to hold your items until you get back, load him up in the car, and hit the nearest gas station or restaurant. As he gets older, he'll learn better bladder control and he'll be able to hold it longer. But I guess if I were you, I'd consider myself lucky at how quickly and easily he has taken to potty-training! Just go with it and don't stress over it too much. There will be accidents, but that's all a part of the process. It definitely gets better and Cayden is a smart cookie, so I'm sure he'll do just fine. It's way better having a child in underwear than in diapers, in my opinion. I wish Noah were already trained.
P.S. Good job Cayden! Now come teach Noah.
I second Kristin. Try to have him go right before you leave the house, and if he says he has to go in the middle of a sale. I am sure the person would gladly hold your things. If it has been a while stop in between sales and have him try...yes, there may be accidents. We didn't stop living life--we don't tend to stay home a ton and we just always tried to keep extra clothes just in case. Good luck! And be sure to update how it is going and yes-- GREAT JOB CAYDEN!
Just stand in front of him and teach him to aim. You'll have to do it sooner or later...or does that just happen to us? The other night there was a big outside ECFE event at one of the schools and he just couldn't hold it and the school wasn't open. So he went by the fence and I blocked him...what else are you going to do?!
Oh funny story about holding it. When Oliver was about Cayden's age, he showed interest as well and he really had to go so I told him to hold it...so he did...literally. So my advice is to tell him to wait instead of hold it :o)
